Audiences of all ages make Amazing Egghead's shows an interactive extravaganza. Volunteers storm the stage when they're called down—just like on the Price Is Right! And once they get in front of the crowd, Amazing Egghead will have them doing everything from really bad disco moves to strapping him into a straitjacket. Shows feature breakneck-paced routines ranging from offbeat magic to vaudeville-style variety act pieces you might witness at Coney Island.

Some describe Amazing Egghead as the poor man's Carrot Top. Others, Bob Barker impersonating Jim Carrey. Whatever the analogy, Amazing Egghead blends prop and physical comedy with tongue-in-cheek illusions and really strange juggling to set crowds afire with his zany brand of comedic chaos.

Better known to friends and family as Shawn Jacob, he got his start in 10th grade with professional performances for groups throughout West Michigan. Managing to make magic his answer to the excruciating question of how to make money while still a high school student, Shawn avoided flipping burgers, and went on to graduate with honors.

He continued performing throughout his time at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Majoring in Psychology and Religion, Shawn graduated Magna Cum Laude. Then he experienced a mid-life crisis at the age of 23 (apparently, he plans to live until he's only 46!). As a result, he decided to make performing his full-time vocation offering a wide-range of programs for schools, companies, churches, libraries, and other organizations.

Thirteen years have passed; and since then, Shawn's shows have devolved from the predictable card tricks and appearing birds genre of magic shows into something altogether different. Sure, the occasional magic trick finds its way into the program, but the main emphasis is on comedy. He doesn't tell jokes as much as he creates visual ones.

One particularly popular routine is his take on the Macarena. Three married men are called out of the audience and taught moves to a more "manly" version of the once-popular dance song. Once the workshop is completed, contestants don wigs and Saturday-Night-Fever-style blazers, and then the real fun begins. Audience members vote 2 participants "off the island", and the third goes home the winner—but not until he experiences a coronation ceremony in the tradition of Miss America. Best of all, the winner receives the grand prize: a box of Rice-A-Roni!

Shawn Jacob offers both motivational shows and ones that are just good fun without any message. His motivational shows are recognized by the Michigan Arts and Humanities Touring Program with grants available for such groups as schools, libraries, museums, service groups, and others.

Recently, Shawn completed his Master in Education degree at Aquinas College, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned a 4.0 GPA and is now certified to teach secondary English and psychology. Currently, he teaches high school English for Zeeland Public Schools.

Just do Egghead a favor: Don't go using these images for any sordid, internet-type activities... Shawn and his mom thank you kindly.

For high-resolution printing, such as magazine quality or other coated paper, go with 266 ppi. If you're using a 1200 dpi laser printer, download one of the 200 ppi images. Avoid pixelated craziness by selecting one of the 150 ppi images for printing on your 600 dpi printer. That way you'll minimize your computer's and printer's processing time while maximizing the print quality! Also, the 150 ppi images are ideal for output to newspaper stock or other super-porous papers.
